Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Power Plant Operator A to join our manufacturing team, onsite at Seattle, Auburn, Puyallup, Renton, Kent, and other WA locations. You will operate boilers, monitor gauges, and maintain power systems with safety and quality at the forefront.

Ideal candidates have a City of Seattle Steam Engineer's License Grade 2, 3+ years of boiler operation experience, and the physical stamina for shift work while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• City of Seattle Steam Engineer's License Grade 2.
• 3+ years boiler operation and maintenance experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift.
• Must be able to stand, twist, bend, kneel and occasional crawling within an 8 hour shift.
• Ability to work in noisy environments while completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate boilers and related machinery.
• Read gauges, meters, and charts to track boiler operations.
• Monitor boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels.
• Activate valves to adjust water, air, and fuel in boilers.
• Fire coal furnaces or feed boilers using gas or oil pumps.
• Inspect and maintain equipment for efficiency.
• Check safety devices and perform environmental checks.
• Record data and logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity.
