Job summary

Gridsight is seeking a Forward Deployed Power Engineer to lead technical engagements with US utilities. You’ll map client needs to Gridsight capabilities, drive delivery onsite, and establish credibility as a subject-matter expert. You’ll collaborate across sales, product, and analytics teams to deliver high-impact insights.

You’ll travel to customer sites as needed, shape technical strategy, and help scale grid-modeling tooling in a fast-moving startup. Austin-based with hybrid options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in power engineering or planning at utilities or grid vendors.
• Experience delivering grid software to customers.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.

Responsibilities

• Represent Gridsight as technical lead in US engagements and presales.
• Define technical strategy, on-site delivery, and customer onboarding.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve tooling and features.
• Lead technical discovery, assess feasibility, and outline risks.
• Mentor analysts, approve dashboards, and communicate with stakeholders.
