Job summary

EPITEC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support development and validation of power electronics and drive systems. You will lead mechanical design concepting, releases, and validation, collaborating with manufacturing suppliers to ensure robust, reliable products.

The role requires strong Creo CAD skills, GD&T knowledge, and hands-on testing experience, with a focus on thermal and vibration environments across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant mechanical design experience required.
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience will be considered.
• Associate degree in a related engineering field with 9+ years of relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mechanical design concepts for power electronics and related systems.
• Create, review, release, and check engineering drawings, models, and design documentation.
• Perform mechanical component and system validation through fit-up, assembly, vibration, and thermal testing activities.
• Evaluate design performance and make recommendations for improvements based on testing results.
• Collaborate with suppliers to support manufacturing feasibility, production readiness, and quality objectives.
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to integrate designs into larger product platforms.
• Apply material properties, dimensional tolerancing, and engineering fundamentals to ensure robust designs.
• Support prototype builds, troubleshooting efforts, and design issue resolution.
• Utilize CAD tools to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous product improvement initiatives.
