Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, prototype, and validate mechanical components for medium-voltage power electronics systems. You will own designs from concept through production and collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, test, reliability and supplier teams.

The role emphasizes robust mechanical design, DFMA, 3D CAD, and verification across prototyping, testing, and validation, with a focus on high-volume manufacturing and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 4+ years of industry experience in mechanical engineering/design.
• Strong mechanical part and assembly design experience.
• Experience with electromechanical products and high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies for power converters, including enclosures, plastics, heatsinks, insulators, transformers, connectors, PCBAs, and joints.
• Apply first-principles engineering for structural, thermal, and tolerance optimization.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V6/3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).
• Support prototyping, hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Design for high-volume manufacturing and DFM.
• Work with processes such as sheet metal, stamping, injection molding, die casting, extrusion, fastening, and adhesive dispensing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and external suppliers.
