Job summary

Analog Devices in California seeks a Power Electronics Engineer to characterize DC-DC converters, power modules, and semiconductor devices through hands-on lab work onsite. You will interpret waveforms, analyze performance, and develop test setups to support new product requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of switching converters, measurements, transients, and thermal performance.
• Hands-on power-electronics hardware experience with standard lab instruments.
• Ability to read schematics, assemble/test hardware, and troubleshoot tests.
• Ability to analyze results and document findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Characterize power hardware by testing DC-DC converters, power modules, and semiconductor devices using lab equipment.
• Evaluate performance through switching waveforms, efficiency, transient response, and temperature analysis.
• Develop test setups by selecting measurement methods and adapting fixtures for new products.
• Support qualification with derating tests, automated power cycling, test monitoring, and documentation.
