Job summary

Medical Devices Company in Irvine, CA is seeking an Entry Level Planner for a 6-month onsite contract. The role oversees the master production schedule and material requirements to ensure timely production and inventory control.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, and at least 1 year of experience. CPIM certification is a plus; this is a 1st shift opportunity with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Professional entry level position requiring at least 1 year of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is required.
• CPIM Certification a plus.
• Knowledge of general manufacturing and business operations and key manufacturing resources planning theories including continuous improvement methods (e.g., pull systems, process mapping, JIT).

Responsibilities

• Identifies material requirements from engineering and production specs.
• Maintains item master schedules and bill of materials.
• Advises management on work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
• Prepares work orders or purchase requests to support master production schedule and inventory needs.
• Coordinates material movements between internal areas and outside processing or suppliers.
• Schedules and expedites movement of parts to meet shipping dates.
• Maintains configuration control on all open orders and data files.
• Collaborates with QA, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory Control, Shipping, Receiving, and Contract Administration.
