Job summary

Conagra Brands in Omaha is seeking a Pilot Plant Maintenance Specialist reporting to the Pilot Plant Manager. You will provide electrical, mechanical, fabrication and contractor-supported expertise to sustain and improve pilot plant operations onsite five days per week.

You will test, inspect, maintain, repair, troubleshoot and install equipment; participate in preventive maintenance, cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement; and train workers on safe operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of related maintenance experience.
• Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or personal care manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience in machine repair, fabrication, welding, lathe operation, diagnostics.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, programmable logic controllers, and controls.
• Familiarity with CAD/ SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with FDA, USDA, OSHA standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions for research and development projects.
• Test, inspect, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, install, fabricate, set up, and operate pilot plant equipment.
• Train employees, temporary associates, and contractors on equipment operation, maintenance practices, and safety requirements.
• Evaluate and introduce new technical developments that support research and development and pilot plant activities.
• Participate in cost savings initiatives through planning, documentation, and implementation.
• Establish, manage, and document preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage spare parts inventory for assigned equipment.
• Initiate and implement modifications and improvements that reduce maintenance costs and increase pilot plant capabilities.
