Tampa Family Pharmacy in Tampa, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, onsite role. Schedule: Mon-Thu 8:00am–5:30pm, Fri 8:00am–1:00pm. Salary: $23.00 hourly based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience.
• Registration with the Pharmacy Technician Florida State Board of Pharmacy.
• Experience in pharmacy practice or health care setting helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists to fulfill prescription orders.
• Enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Enter patient information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Contact all new patients for demographic and insurance info.
• Inform and process new antibiotic scripts with patients.
• Maintain updated patient profiles including allergies.
• Initiate communication with prescribers for clarification of missing information as directed by the pharmacist.
• Intake and typing of new and refill prescriptions.
• Accept refill requests, proactively contact patients for refills.
• Process incoming documents and escribes queues.
• Fax, call or send Escribes for refill requests.
• Contact patients and MD offices to resolve insurance issues.
