Tampa Family Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for full-time, on-site work in Tampa, FL. Schedule includes Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:30pm and Friday 8:00am–1:00pm with a $23.00 hourly wage based on experience.

The role supports pharmacists in fulfilling prescriptions, managing inventory, and handling patient data and insurance information. A high school diploma and Florida licensure registration are required, with healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in pharmacy or healthcare.
• Registration with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Former pharmacy practice experience is helpful.

Aufgaben

• Assist pharmacists to fulfill prescription orders and manage inventory.
• Answer phones and assist patients as needed.
• Enter prescription data into the pharmacy computer system.
• Enter patient demographic and insurance information into the system.
• Contact new patients for demographic and insurance details.
• Notify patients with new antibiotic scripts and process accordingly.
• Maintain updated patient profiles including allergies.
• Coordinate with prescribers for missing information as directed.
• Handle intake and typing of new and refill prescriptions.
• Process refill requests and reach out to patients for availability.
• Work processing queues and Escribes for refills.
• Communicate with patients and MD offices to resolve claims.
