Zusammenfassung

Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support outpatient pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist or the Director of Pharmacy Affairs.

As a Pharmacy Technician at TFHC, you’ll work alongside experienced pharmacists and care teams who value accuracy, teamwork, and service. This role includes assisting with prescription dispensing, inventory management, insurance verification, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification or minimum of six months experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain and maintain certification.
• Must complete 340B University training within two weeks of employment and maintain renewals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and electronic health records.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and basic pharmacy math.

Aufgaben

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications in accordance with SOPs.
• Identify medications from stock, count quantities, and prepare labels.
• Verify patient eligibility with insurance plans and calculate costs.
• Answer calls and respond to routine questions, escalating complex inquiries.
• Assist with patient education materials under pharmacist supervision.
• Support refill authorization requests and communication with providers.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with quality control activities.
• Manage daily operations including inventory, supplies, and cash handling.
• Ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
