You will verify eligibility, discuss patient financial obligations, coordinate with pharmacists and nurses, and ensure accurate patient profiles with timely authorizations.

Qualifications

• Oregon Pharmacy Technician License OR Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
• 2 years experience with insurance verification, medical claims processing, or insurance member enrollment.
• 2 years experience as a pharmacy technician in a specialty setting (infusion/ LTC) or 3 years outpatient pharmacy experience.
• 2 years experience with computers in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Process new referrals for Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services Home and Infusion Suite.
• Obtain orders and required documents and confer with referral sources, Pharmacist, Infusion Nurse Coordinator and other stakeholders.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; manage cost of medication; obtain pre-authorizations and re-authorizations.
• Assist patients with copay and financial assistance; monthly re-verification of insurance for active patients.
• Update patient profiles with therapy changes and maintain authorization records.
