Job summary

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for an onsite Louisville, KY pharmacy opportunity. This temporary-hire assignment supports direct-to-patient prescription fulfillment with a focus on safe and timely medication processing.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, clinical assessments, and collaboration with tech staff to resolve issues while counseling patients as needed. Strong attention to detail and clinical knowledge are essential in a high-volume non-retail

Qualifications

• Active Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in Kentucky or ability to obtain quickly.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited program.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy law, medication safety, and clinical pharmacology.
• Experience with pharmacy information systems and electronic prescribing.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process prescription orders according to regulations and policies.
• Perform clinical review of prescriptions, including dosage, interactions, and contraindications.
• Ensure accuracy and safety in prescription fulfillment workflows.
• Collaborate with technicians and staff to resolve prescription issues and support timely delivery.
• Provide pharmacist support and counseling to patients via phone or electronic channels.
• Maintain accurate documentation within pharmacy systems and related platforms.
• Participate in quality assurance, audits, and medication safety programs.
• Support workflow improvements and maintain quality standards.
• Assist training and mentoring of technicians and interns.
