Job summary

UNC Health Care in Lenoir, NC seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for per diem work in the Physical Therapy department. You will perform a wide range of PT treatments, assist with discharge planning, and contribute to treatment plans based on physician evaluations and goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited two-year Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the state of North Carolina.
• BLS certification.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to interdisciplinary team planning for patient needs and discharge plans.
• Precepts PT technicians or assistants and evaluates learner competency.
• Documents patient treatment and progress for billing and statistics.
• Instructs PT and PTA students.
• Provides skilled PT treatments and designs exercise programs; teaches ambulatory devices and home exercise programs.
• Participates in departmental meetings and quality improvement efforts.
