Job summary

Cooley Dickinson Health Care, an affiliate of Mass General Brigham, seeks a CRNA for per diem anesthesia services at 30 Locust Street, Northampton, MA. You will work with the OR team to ensure safety, insert monitoring lines as needed, and participate in drug and equipment safety, with supervision by a licensed physician.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nurse Anesthesia Practitioner.
• CRNA certification/licensure required.
• Onsite work; per diem schedule.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with patients to provide information related to anesthesia and in preparation for procedures.
• Collaborates with anesthesia, nursing and surgical teams when determining and managing appropriate types of anesthetic.
• Conducts induction and maintenance of anesthesia under supervision; administers general and regional anesthesia.
• Inserts invasive monitoring lines as required for an anesthetic and interprets data.
• Monitors life support functions during anesthesia and communicates patient updates per protocols.
• Prepares and evaluates safety of anesthetic equipment, supplies and drugs; participates in audits and meetings as needed.
• Works with Pharmacy staff in handling and use of drugs and related agents; follows administration protocols and waste procedures.
