Job summary

UCSF Health seeks a Per Diem Chaplain to provide on-site spiritual care to patients, families, and staff in Oakland and nearby locations as needed. The role requires collaboration with the health care team and flexible availability to respond to crisis events.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or equivalent with four years of experience, 2+ years in spiritual care, and ACPE unit(s). Strong confidentiality, communication, and multi-faith sensitivity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HS Diploma with four years of equivalent experience.
• Two or more years of directly related experience.
• Completion of at least one ACPE unit, preferably four, accredited for clinical pastoral education.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, existential, spiritual care to patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams to support care planning.
