Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing is seeking a Payroll & Human Resources Coordinator for an onsite role in Waldwick, NJ. You will support weekly payroll operations and day-to-day HR tasks for office and field staff in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities include processing weekly payroll, onboarding and offboarding, and maintaining confidential records. The ideal candidate has extensive payroll experience and strong Excel, with familiarity in certified payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of payroll, HR, or related administrative experience.
• Experience processing payroll independently.
• Ability to handle payroll and employee information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly in-house payroll for all office and field employees.
• Review timecards and payroll inputs for accuracy, including pay rates, job numbers, cost codes, overtime, deductions, reimbursements, and PTO.
• Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to resolve missing or incorrect payroll information.
• Maintain payroll records for new hires, terminations, wage changes, deductions, direct deposit, and employee allowances.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for public and prevailing-wage projects.
