Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners seeks an entry level Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for patients at Independence - Clarion Hospital in Clarion, PA. You will assign MRNs, verify eligibility, collect insurance information, and guide patients through pre-registration with compassion.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
• CRCR required within 9 months of hire (Company Paid)

Responsibilities

• Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital.
• Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity / compliance checks, collect insurance information, and provide patient instructions.
• Handle pre-registration tasks including inbound/outbound calls to obtain demographics and insurance details.
• Explain general consent for treatment forms and obtain signatures.
• Review insurance eligibility responses and select applicable plan codes to support POS and billing processes.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute required forms.
