Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 18 graduate credits (or 24 quarter credits) in the assigned course area.
• Bachelor’s degree in the field or credential in the field plus 4 years of industry experience.
• Master’s degree in the related field with 4 years of industry experience; credential if not in the teaching field; familiarity with modern teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes as assigned in accordance with SAE policies and procedures.
• Deliver instruction aligned with the Student-Centered Active Education model.
• Establish a classroom environment conducive to learning and student engagement.
• Support campus events such as workshops, orientation, and graduation as requested.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, submit grades and reports on time; enforce SAE policies.
• Plan and prepare for classes with activities that meet learning outcomes.
• Advise absent or high-risk students and document contacts.
• Complete faculty development annually to improve instruction and skills.
• Maintain instructor eligibility under regulations; supervise makeup sessions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
