Job summary

SAE Institute North America invites qualified part-time instructors to join our campus-based teaching team. You will deliver courses under the Student-Centered Active Education model, foster engaging classrooms, and support student success through advising and campus events.

The role requires appropriate master’s or bachelor’s degrees with field credentials and a minimum of four years of industry experience, plus familiarity with Canvas LMS and project-based learning methodologies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with required credits in the course area.
• Bachelor’s degree plus credential and 4 years industry experience.
• Master’s degree and credential in teaching field or related field.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes as assigned in accordance with SAE policies and procedures.
• Deliver instruction aligned with the Student-Centered Active Education model.
• Establish a classroom environment conducive to learning and student engagement.
• Participate in advising, curriculum development, and campus events such as workshops and orientation.
• Manage attendance, grade submission, and adherence to SAE policies.
• Plan and prepare for classes to support learning outcomes.
• Advise absent and high-risk students and document contacts.
• Complete faculty development activities annually to improve teaching and support for diverse learners.
• Maintain instructor eligibility according to regulations and SAE policies.
• For part-time/adjunct roles, supervise makeup sessions and provide tutoring when needed.
