Job summary

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician, Fulfillment to prepare and label prescriptions, and support a Pharmacist in dispensing medications within an automated system. This role requires 1 year of technician experience and a valid license.

The position is hybrid with weekly onsite work at Elevance Health’s BioPlus facility. Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician and previous experience in pharmacy environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Valid Registered Pharmacy Technician required.

Responsibilities

• Enter required information in the adjudication platform to satisfy prescription verification by Pharmacist.
• Maintain compliance with State Board of Pharmacy and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with prescribers, customers, and staff to complete prescriptions.
• Assist Pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Organize work activities to meet pharmaceutical needs of customers.
• Answer phones and respond to inquiries or route to appropriate staff.
• Verify data entry information and maintain physician orders and prescriptions.
• Monitor inventory for out-of-date products and coordinate removal.
• Keep the pharmacy clean and compliant with procedures and regulations.
