Job summary

Chart Industries in Windsor, CT is seeking a Panel Control Technician to perform machining and assembly of standard and custom control panels, wire panels from diagrams and blueprints, drill and cut enclosures, and test functionality on the finished unit.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, ability to read engineering drawings, mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with hand tools; electrical background a plus; must work onsite and collaborate with a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and test specifications.
• Experience wiring panels from diagrams and complex blueprints.
• Proficient with hand tools and basic electrical safety practices.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Machining and assembling control panels, including standard and custom units.
• Read and follow blueprints; wire panels per diagrams.
• Drill, tap, and cut enclosures and panels as required.
• Assemble components such as relays, timers, PLCs, and starters.
• Test functional operation of the complete unit and troubleshoot as needed.
