Job summary

Fresenius Kidney Care in Norfolk, VA seeks an entry level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for an assigned group of patients, coordinating with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.

This role requires documenting in the patient record, educating patients and families, delivering safe hemodialysis, administering medications per protocol, and supporting team leadership and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• RN with entry level CAP designation completing nursing school graduate.
• CPR/BLS certification current.
• State licensure as RN required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care for assigned patients.
• Document all care and changes in the patient medical record.
• Educate patients and families about treatment and self-care.
• Administer hemodialysis and medications per protocol.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and participate in quality improvement activities.
