Job summary

Inherent Technologies, Inc. seeks an OT Security Analyst to oversee SOC operations for OT/ICS environments on a 1-year onsite engagement in Dallas, TX.

You will lead complex incident investigations and mentor junior analysts, adapting detection rules to OT protocols and coordinating with CIP and other teams. The role requires 5–7 years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in OT/ICS, strong knowledge of SIEM/SOAR, and experience with SCADA/PLCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field required.
• Minimum 5-7 years of cybersecurity experience; SOC experience strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of OT/ICS experience with hands-on knowledge of SCADA/PLCs/RTUs/HMIs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SOC operations during assigned shifts with proper escalation and SLAs.
• Lead investigations and response to complex OT security incidents, coordinating with Networking, Architecture, CIP Compliance.
• Develop and tune detection rules and use cases for OT protocols to improve threat coverage.
• Create and maintain incident response playbooks, SOPs, and runbooks from lessons learned and threat intel.
• Mentor Tier 1 & 2 analysts on incident handling and OT security concepts.
• Stay current on NERC-CIP, NIST CSF, Purdue Model, and ISO 27001 standards applicable to OT.
