Job summary

The Ophthalmic Technician position is based onsite at Millenium Eye Care, Freehold Office, part of Prism Vision Group. The role supports physicians with examinations, measurements, data entry, and patient services to help determine diagnoses and treatment plans.

Responsibilities include taking histories, conducting tests, and assisting with office procedures while maintaining compliance with policies and care standards. Travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field highly preferred.
• Certifications: Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.
• Experience: 2-4 years in ophthalmic assistant role.

Responsibilities

• Take ocular and systemic history and record visual acuity.
• Perform tests and measurements as required for scheduled exams.
• Act as scribe, entering data into EMR during physician exams.
• Perform lensometry, refractometry, slit lamp exams and related tests.
• Administer medications and assist in in-office procedures.
