Job summary

Prism Vision Group's Retina Care Center in Westminster, MD seeks an Ophthalmic Assistant to perform tests (OCT, visual fields, photography, pachymetry, biometry), document accurately, and support physicians with patient care. Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• OA1 Experience: 0-2 years ophthalmic assistant experience.
• OAII Experience: 2+ years ophthalmic assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Performs testing (OCT, visual fields, photography, pachymetry, biometry).
• Records ocular/systemic history and visual acuity.
• Acts as scribe and enters data into EMR or paper charts.
• Administers ophthalmic medications and supports informed consent.
• Maintains exam room cleanliness and patient flow.
