Job summary

UNC Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Rex Hematology Oncology team. The APP works within an interdisciplinary clinical team under physician supervision to deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care.

Duties include obtaining histories, performing exams, ordering tests, developing differential diagnoses, and implementing evidence-based treatment plans with appropriate follow-up.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensed as an APRN/PA in North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.

Responsibilities

• Obtain health history, perform exams, and interpret tests; develop treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
• Provide instruction to physicians, housestaff, nursing, and students; teach and train.
• Interact with patients and staff respectfully; respond to needs and ensure care.
• Engage in quality improvement and lead interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop new clinical programs and contribute to care policy.
