Job summary

HASC PERSONNEL SERVICES INC is seeking an Onsite Medical Assistant to support occupational health centers for the petrochemical and manufacturing industries. This senior role involves operating x-ray and testing equipment, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring patient confidentiality across multiple sites.

Candidates should have at least 5 years in occupational medicine, a CDL with a clean driving record, and proficiency with electronic medical records.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
CDL license with clean driving record.
Minimum 5 years in occupational medicine or equivalent.
Proficient computer skills including electronic medical records.
Must pass background check, drug screening, and safety exams.
Willing to travel to client locations and vary environments.

Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of all equipment including x-ray, medical tools, respirator fit machines, pulmonary function, audiometry, functional tests, and breath alcohol machines.
Calibrate equipment at start of day/month per manufacturer specifications.
Conduct periodic surveys of equipment and stations to identify safety and hygiene hazards.
Administer respirator fit tests in compliance with CFR 1910.134 as needed.
Disinfect and inspect respirators after tests.
Maintain customer relationships with speed and professionalism, protect confidentiality.
Facilitate patient vitals, triage, room placement, etc.
Keep up to date with safety topics and training technologies.
Attend and pass certifying courses in NIOSH and CAOCH and drug testing courses.
