Job summary

HASC seeks an Onsite Medical Assistant to join its Gulf Coast–based health program. The role supports occupational health services across locations, including training, medicine, and mobile unit operations. A senior team member will manage equipment, safety, patient flow, and data confidentiality.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in occupational medicine, a CDL with clean driving record, and experience with EMR systems. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in occupational medicine or equivalent.
• CDL license with a clean driving record and ability to operate CDL-class vehicles.
• Background check, drug screening, and safety examinations required.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and related software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of all equipment including x-ray, pulmonary function, audiometry, and other medical tools.
• Calibrate equipment daily per manufacturer specifications and recertify as required.
• Conduct safety surveys to identify and correct hazards for customers and technicians.
• Administer respirator fit tests in accordance with CFR 1910.134 requirements.
• Disinfect and inspect respirators after testing; maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist with patient check-in/check-out and coordinate with radiology vendors for timely reporting.
• Travel to client locations to support onsite medical services and operate mobile units.
• Maintain driver logs and perform routine vehicle inspections per DOT standards.
