Job summary

Western Governors University in Orlando, FL is hiring a Simulation Technician Specialist to support nursing education in our Clinical Learning & Simulation Center. You will set up, operate, and maintain high-fidelity simulators, manage lab supplies, and provide technical and instructional support for on-site learning labs.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 3 years of professional experience, computer proficiency, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with PC/MAC and common software tools.
• Experience with nursing simulation labs or similar settings.
• Ability to manage supplies and use simulation software efficiently.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to adapt to evolving simulation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain high-fidelity simulators and room equipment.
• Manage lab supplies, inventory, and reporting of low par levels.
• Provide technical and instructional support to faculty and students.
• Onboard and orient new Simulation Technicians and lab staff.
• Support pre-/intra-/post-simulation activities and recordings.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance in the learning lab.
