Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, Colorado, seeks a Registered Nurse for our Virtual ICU to provide top of scope nursing care in a virtual environment. This full-time, night-shift role monitors patients and collaborates with the onsite team to ensure safety and quality of care.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, ICU experience or completion of UCHealth Fellowship, and current BLS/ACLS cards that are valid through the start date and beyond.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• State RN licensure.
• 6 months ICU RN experience or UCHealth Fellowship completion.
• BLS and ACLS certification with card in-hand before start date.
• BLS/ACLS valid through sixty days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides top of scope practice in a virtual care environment using the nursing process.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes.
• Prioritizes wellness, patient perspective, and evidence-based practice.
• Precepts learners and new staff to help maintain competency.
• Contributes to safety and quality at the point of care.
• Monitors patients from the virtual center in collaboration with onsite teams.
• Communicates interventions to onsite nurses, supervisors and physicians.
• Educators support training for competency validation during orientation.
