Job summary

Piper Companies seeks a Deployed Support Specialist to assist the Marine Corps Cyber Operations Group (MCCOG) in Quantico, VA. This onsite role delivers network engineering guidance and direct support for deployed units, including planning, installation, maintenance, and VIP-level troubleshooting of enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, AD, and Exchange, plus OEM/network certifications. Travel and deployment readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Experience providing technical support in deployed, military, government, or operational environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise networking technologies and infrastructure.
• Experience administering and troubleshooting routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Exchange.
• OEM network support certification is required.
• OS or Application Certification from Microsoft, Cisco, or similar vendor desired.
• Ability to support deployment planning, logistics coordination, and operational readiness.
• Strong communication skills for executive and VIP users.

Responsibilities

• Provide network engineering guidance and technical support during deployments and exercises.
• Deliver direct computer and network support to deployed USMC units, including installation and troubleshooting.
• Support and maintain routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, AD, and Exchange infrastructure.
• Assist with IA training development and delivery for deployed personnel.
• Support the D-30 deployment process, including logistics and documentation.
• Coordinate transport, permits, inventory tracking, and equipment returns.
• Serve as primary VIP support resource for new technology deployments.
• Support flexible work schedules during deployment activities.
