J&H Oil is seeking a Network Administrator for an in‑office role in Michigan, supporting corporate offices and nearly 100 retail locations. You will manage network operations, VPN connections, and day‑to‑day systems administration, with hands‑on work across virtualization and AD/GP environments.

You’ll collaborate with IT, field technicians, and MSP partners on upgrades and modernization projects while maintaining thorough network documentation and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT experience.
• Willingness to travel to Michigan and Indiana locations.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment.
• Hands-on networking and systems administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the enterprise network across corporate offices and nearly 100 retail locations in Michigan.
• Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot VPN tunnels connecting stores to corporate systems and ERP applications.
• Administer Cisco switches, WatchGuard Firebox firewalls, Aruba access points, Meraki wireless, and Cradlepoint devices.
• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues across multiple sites.
• Assist with network upgrades, store turn-ups, and modernization projects.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, IP addressing, and configuration records.
• Work with internet carriers and vendors to resolve circuit and service issues.
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy; assist with Hyper‑V virtualization environments.
