Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a NetDevOps Engineer to support the U.S. Navy in a 100% onsite role in Norfolk, VA or Jacksonville, FL. The position blends traditional network engineering with automation and DevOps to manage a large, multi-vendor network environment.

The engineer will develop automated solutions for network configuration and policy management, administer NMS platforms, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure security, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-vendor enterprise networks and routing.
• Hands-on network automation with Ansible, Python, PowerShell and YAML.
• Experience developing, testing, and deploying Ansible playbooks and IaC solutions.
• Strong understanding of firewalls and ACLs in large networks.
• Experience administering NMS platforms (Cisco Catalyst Center, OpenText NNMi, Arista CloudVision).
• Red Hat Linux administration and Kubernetes in NMS environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to communicate to senior stakeholders.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support & administer complex multi-vendor networks (Cisco, Arista, Juniper).
• Develop and deploy network automation using Ansible, Python, PowerShell, YAML.
• Design & implement Infrastructure as Code and automated policy enforcement.
• Administer NMS platforms including Cisco Catalyst Center and NNMi.
• Support Red Hat Linux and Kubernetes for modern NMS deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with distributed teams across the U.S. to maintain performance and reliability.
