Job summary

Good Shepherd Services, Ltd in New York, NY seeks an MST-EA Therapist to support high-risk emerging adults within Marian Hall Hard-to-Place. You will assess, plan trauma-informed care, and collaborate with families to promote education, employment, and independent living.

Role is onsite, 35 hours weekly. Salary ranges reflect MSW/MHC roles in NY; LMSW/LMHC pathway supported. Requires flexibility and strong documentation in trauma-informed practice.

Qualifications

• Experience with adolescent/young adult population desired.
• Background in CBT and motivational interviewing preferred.
• Must have NYS LMSW or LMHC within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments on referred young adults.
• Conduct mental status exams with clients as needed.
• Develop trauma-informed, strength-based, culturally competent treatment plans in collaboration with client and social network.
• Engage caregivers and/or key social network members in active, change-oriented treatment.
• Facilitate home- and community-based treatment 3–4 times per week as directed.
• Ensure client and social network safety with regular safety assessments and safety plans.
• Oversee client progress and discharge planning.
• Maintain professional documentation of treatment per MST-EA model.
