Job summary

Centerra Gold in Langeloth, PA is seeking a Mechanic to maintain and repair mining machinery and equipment on site. You will inspect pumps, motors, conveyors, and related systems, perform disassembly and reassembly, and ensure safe, efficient operation in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Welding certifications in pressure vessels and/or piping.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Keeps machinery and mechanical equipment in a state of good repair and examines machinery for defects.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, reassembling and making adjustments.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections and inspects used parts for dimensional changes.
• Performs maintenance including welding, burning, pipe fitting, and auxiliary mechanical tasks.
• Records parts usage and completes job summaries after duties are performed.
