Job summary

Centerra Gold Inc. in Langeloth, PA, seeks a Mehanic to join the onsite team. The role emphasizes safety, and maintenance of pumps, motors, conveyors, and other mechanical equipment on site.

Responsibilities include diagnosing defects, dismantling and repairing parts, inspecting wear, and performing welding and pipe-fitting as required. An attractive hourly rate plus bonus and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient pump mechanics.
• Welding certifications in pressure vessels and or piping.
• Ability to read blueprints.

• Keeps machinery and mechanical equipment in a state of good repair; examines machinery for defects in operation and locates faulty parts.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; reassembles and makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and troubleshoots mechanical problems.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts; performs welding, burning, pipe fitting, and related maintenance tasks.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Frequently climbs ladders, operates forklifts and other motorized equipment.

About The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Mehanic to join our Centerra Langeloth team. This position is an onsite role based in Langeloth, PA. This role must maintain a high standard of safety and housekeeping while performing all responsibilities for repairs and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Keeps machinery and mechanical equipment in a state of good repair examines machinery for defects in operation locating faulty parts by listening to machine while running and or other methods based on mechanical knowledge.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts reassemble making necessary adjustments to insure efficient operation.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and trouble shoot mechanical problems.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts also performs wide variety of maintenance duties including but not limited to welding burning, pipe fitting, plumbing fabrication, screw conveyors, sheet metal work, drill press, grinders, moving heavy machinery parts using rigging and lifting aids, hydro-cones and various crushing equipment, etc.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Frequently climbs ladders and stairs, operates forklifts, manlifts and other motorized equipment.
• Working in hot cold and dirty conditions frequently.
• Required to record parts usage job summary upon completion of duties.
• Unload materials and parts from transportation vessels using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
• Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with established procedure and specifications.
• Stays up to date on industry best practices and refresher trainings throughout the year of all SOP’s and JSA’s.
• Other duties as assigned.

About You

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
