Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Mining Construction Quality Assurance Manager to oversee onsite QA/QC for a large mining EPCM project. You will develop quality plans, verify conformance to drawings and specs, and coordinate third‑party testing while collaborating with engineering, procurement and client teams.

The role requires 10+ years in mining QA and MSHA certification, with a track record across open pit and underground operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on quality management in mining environments.
• Experience in open pit and underground mining projects preferred.
• MSHA certification is required.
• Able to interface with designers, owners, contractors, and end-users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Assurance Plan.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and client standards.
• Promote quality culture across project teams and activities.
• Oversee QA/QC for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, process, and earthworks.
• Verify conformance to drawings, specs, standards, and procedures.
• Coordinate third‑party inspections and testing laboratories.
• Evaluate contractor quality programs and performances.
• Maintain quality records and turnover documentation.
• Review and approve inspection reports, test results, and as-builts.
• Track quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to WSP’s mining EPCM practice.
