Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a full-time, onsite middle school science instructor near Chester, PA to support a general education caseload with occasional SPED collaboration. You will craft engaging lessons and nurture a positive classroom culture, working with SPED staff to maximize student engagement.

The ideal candidate holds active middle school science certification, a bachelor's degree, and strong knowledge of standards-based instruction.

Qualifications

• Active certification/licensure for middle school science
• Bachelor’s degree required to obtain emergency teaching permit
• Mastery of science content and instructional best practices
• Experience developing standards-aligned lessons and using assessment & differentiation
• Previous school experience, ideally urban setting
• Onsite work 8:30AM–4:00PM (no alt schedules)
• Proven classroom and behavioral management skills
• Able to obtain PA clearances (background checks)

Responsibilities

• Teach science to middle school students in a general education setting with SPED support from specialized staff
• Develop and implement engaging lessons meeting educational standards
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and orderly classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance learning
• Monitor student progress and differentiate instruction as needed
