Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead the on-site MEP team, ensure safety, quality, and timely completion on healthcare/commercial projects.

You will collaborate with Project Director, Estimating, and Superintendent to align cost control and schedule with contract requirements. The role requires a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering, at least five years of experience with $50M+ projects, strong MEP knowledge, and proven ability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with $50M+ in healthcare, commercial, laboratory, higher education, aviation, mission critical construction.
• Mechanical, electrical, plumbing experience is strongly desired.
• Advanced knowledge of MEP construction principles/practices.
• Experienced dealing with subcontracts and subcontractors.
• Experience leading successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities.

Responsibilities

• Participate with Project Director and Estimating in development of a Project Chart of Accounts.
• Develop detailed Project Contract status report.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan.
• Maintain thorough understanding of the McCarthy/Owner contract.
• Oversee the pay request process.
• Monitor project costs and Job Cost Report.
• Analyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reports.
• Implement and monitor training of all staff personnel.
• Monitor project labor.
• Review and approve material and equipment needs.
• Assist Estimating in bidding projects.
• Implement applicable safety, EEO and Aff‏ative Action programs.
• Lead the project’s quality process.
• Develop, schedule and lead project close‑out processes.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent McCarthy core values.
• Training and mentoring MEP team.
• Implement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Aff‎itive Action Programs.
