Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in construction estimating or a related role (mechanical or plumbing preferred).
• Working knowledge of estimating software (e.g., Quote Express, AutoBid/AutoBid Pro).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and MEP specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for mechanical and/or plumbing construction projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs using construction drawings, MEP specifications, and bid documents
• Enter and manage estimate data using estimating software and Excel
• Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Support bid preparation, documentation, and proposal submissions
• Maintain well-organized estimating files, cost databases, and documentation
• Participate in internal estimate reviews and project handoff meetings
• Learn and apply established estimating procedures, standards, and best practices
