Job summary

UCHealth UCHlth Broomfield Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform diagnostic testing of patient specimens across laboratory sections. The role requires maintaining quality control, reporting test results, and supporting staff in a fast-paced onsite setting.

The position emphasizes regulatory compliance and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Candidates must have an MLT certification within 90 days of hire and an appropriate lab science degree or military training

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology or equivalent military training.
• Certification as an MLT (ASCP or AMT) must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens and reports results.
• Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ensures compliance with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements.
• Serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff as needed.
• Works with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
