Job summary

The Doctor Is In / CHC is seeking a part-time Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to work in our Flemington Business office. The role focuses on AR reporting for assigned payers, including follow-up via phone or online, monitoring claim status, and filing appeals as needed.

The position is 24 hours per week and requires living within commuting distance to Flemington, NJ. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in medical billing/collections, CPT/ICD-10 knowledge, and experience with Practice

Qualifications

• Two or more years of billing/collections experience in a medical office.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Experience with Electronic Practice Management systems/NextGen preferred.
• Proficiency in posting patient payments and understanding Explanation of Benefits reports.

Responsibilities

• Daily correction of primary/secondary insurance.
• Documentation of follow-up notes on claims and patient accounts.
• Upkeep of daily spreadsheets required by supervisor.
• Accurate and timely follow-up on accounts receivable for payers assigned.
• Submission of appeals to insurance companies as needed.
