United Utilities is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to deliver expert maintenance and technical support for mechanically powered assets across specified sites, including anaerobic digestion and dewatering plants. The role emphasizes safety, energy efficiency, and reliability within UU’s Health & Safety framework.

You will operate within a defined geographical area, manage contractor activities, and contribute to contingency planning with essential spares.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Industry experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to work in a team and independently; able to work in confined spaces.
• Strong diagnostic, planning, communication and computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across multiple sites.
• Act as PCW for mechanical activities carried out by framework contractors.
• Collaborate with Process Controller to optimise telemetry and asset performance.
• Maintain accurate mechanical asset data and maintenance records.
• Support environmental compliance and regulatory standards.
