Job summary

The Chemours Company seeks a Mechanical & Equipment Engineer to join the Maintenance and Reliability team at the Delisle Plant in Pass Christian, Mississippi. This onsite role focuses on mechanical reliability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, partnering with Maintenance, Operations, and Reliability Engineering.

The role provides structured technical development with formal training and a clear path toward reliability leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering with 2+ years in manufacturing.
Working knowledge of pumps, compressors, fans, piping, and alignment.
FMEA, MTBF, MOC concepts.
Willingness to work onsite in Pass Christian, MS.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day mechanical engineering support to Maintenance and Operations by troubleshooting equipment issues and recommending repairs.
Serve as a technical resource for plant mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment alignment.
Support MTBF and reliability improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues and sustainable actions.
Initiate and support MOC activities for mechanical equipment and safety improvements.
Review preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize technical issues by safety, productivity and cost.
