Job summary

Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least seven years of design experience with complex electro-mechanical OEM equipment; experience with automated packaging machinery is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering design experience in OEM environments.
• Experience with complex electro-mechanical packaging machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee all mechanical engineering activities in line with Bartelt Packaging’s strategy; establish project priorities.
• Manage resources to minimize backlogs and ensure on-time delivery of machine projects.
• Assign projects to engineers, monitor progress and ensure release dates and production readiness.
• Develop and maintain Bartelt Packaging’s design standards and ensure compliance.
• Approve mechanical designs; coordinate with Senior Director of Engineering/General Manager for major changes.
• Serve as primary engineering expert for specified product lines and support sales technically.
• Communicate across internal and external stakeholders to ensure execution excellence.
• Provide forecasts, status reports, and coordinate with other departments as needed.
• Advise manufacturing and service on proper operation and troubleshooting of systems.
