Job summary

JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to contribute to the design, development, and execution of innovative automation solutions at our Greenville, South Carolina facility. You will help solve manufacturing challenges while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or AutoCAD. Travel up to 25% (including overnight) is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or ABET/EAC equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD).
• FE Exam or EIT desirable.
• Proficient in applying standard and advanced engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Develops deep knowledge in a specific practice area.
• Evaluates and applies standard techniques on conventional projects.
• Collaboratively adapts methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments.
• Works on small projects or portions of larger projects.
• Reviews technical output and influences team decisions.
