JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to design, develop, and execute innovative automation solutions at our Nashville facility. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve manufacturing challenges and deliver high-quality automation systems.

The role emphasizes applying engineering principles, CAD proficiency, and problem-solving on projects that may involve domestic and international travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (or Associate's with relevant experience).
3+ years of work experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD).
FE Exam or EIT is desirable.
Proficient in applying standard and advanced engineering principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

Develops deep knowledge and skills in a specific practice area.
Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques to conventional projects.
Collaboratively adapts methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments.
Works on small projects or portions of larger projects.
Reviews the technical output of team members and influences decisions.
Exhibits strong written and oral communication, and works with minimal supervision.
