Job summary

Peregrine Solutions seeks an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Construction QA Inspector for a 6-week on-site assignment at Ft. Meade in Laurel, Maryland.

The role serves as the on-site quality authority, verifying that mechanical and electrical construction activities meet project specs, codes, drawings, and quality standards from pre-installation through commissioning. A strong background in HVAC and electrical systems is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of field inspection experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional construction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field inspections of mechanical and electrical systems on site.
• Verify submittals meet specs and manufacturer requirements.
• Witness tests such as hydrostatic, continuity, insulation, and functional tests.
• Maintain inspection reports, NCRs, and punch lists.
• Coordinate with contractors and third-party inspectors as required.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, ASME, IMC, IPC, and AHJ standards.
• Provide QA updates in project meetings.
