Job summary

Peregrine Solutions is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Construction Quality Assurance Inspector for a 6‑week on‑site assignment at Ft. Meade/Laurel, MD. You will monitor field activities, verify submittals, and witness tests to ensure conformance with codes and project specs.

The role requires strong inspection/reporting skills, knowledge of NEC/NFPA/ASME, and the ability to coordinate with contractors and engineers to support commissioning and turnover.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of field inspection experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional construction.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, IBC, IMC, IPC, and ASME standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and submittals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections of mechanical systems and electrical installations to verify compliance with plans and specs.
• Review submittals and ensure equipment and materials meet requirements before installation.
• Witness tests (hydrostatic, pressure, insulation, continuity, functional) and document results.
• Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and punch lists; track resolutions and verify corrective actions.
• Maintain ITRs and ensure proper sign‑offs; document photo evidence and submit logs.
• Verify NEC, NFPA, ASME, IMC, IPC, and local AHJ code compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, third‑party inspectors, and project team to resolve issues.
• Attend meetings and provide QA status updates.
