Job summary

United Therapeutics seeks a Materials Manager to oversee purchasing, shipping, receiving and inventory at the Houston facility. Responsibilities include material receipt, storage, planning, and compliance with cGMP requirements.

Key duties cover coordinating with Operations and Quality, maintaining inventories, leading training, and optimizing material flow. A strong background in pharmaceutical materials handling and SAP is required.

Qualifications

• Requires strong knowledge of cGMP practices affecting materials management, manufacturing, shipping and receiving.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to maintain exact records.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and standard internet functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely receipt, storage, issuance, and shipment of materials.
• Plan and procure facility supplies within budgetary requirements.
• Manage direct material inventory and conduct physical counts.
• Coordinate with Operations and Quality to ensure material release for use or shipment.
• Ensure safe materials handling and compliance with cGMP requirements.
• Author and revise material control SOPs as needed.
• Provide SAP and material control training to staff and lead process improvements.
• Assist in planning process, material flow, and equipment for the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
